CELEBRITY VISIT AT LINTON ZOO TO SAVE ANIMALS

The Murry Foundation and The Bill Jordan Foundation appeal to save over 4500 animals

The founder of Linton Zoo, Len Simmons and his daughter Kim Simmons welcomed special guests Louise and Jamie Redknapp alongside Steve Collins (Former Supermiddle & middle weight champion Boxer of the world) with wife Donna at the zoo in Cambridgeshire to join forces with Adam Murry, Chairman of The Bill Jordan Foundation, and The Murry Foundation.

The visit took place on 20th August in an urgent appeal to protect the lives and provide sanctuary for over 4500 animals in Africa. The animals include a family of 12 elephants, recently saved from a vicious culling program. The visit was to meet the 6 week old Lion cub Zuri. The little cub ”Zuri” (Swahili for Handsome), was brought to Linton Zoo from West Midlands Safari Park for hand-rearing to make the perfect partner for 8 month old lioness “Safina” (Swahili for Beautiful), and have photographs taken with the cub to raise awareness in the press that without the help and support from them, animals lives will be at risk of facing a barbaric death.

The animals will be relocated to an existing Sanctuary in South Africa where they will finally be allowed to roam free once again. However, there is no diminishing need for land, many animals are still at risk and new land must be acquired for the animals which include lions, giraffe, rhino to name but a few, before they are executed by ruthless hunters.

These creatures have a given right to live without fear in the world they were born into, in a world that does not crave their heads as trophies. Please sacrifice a drink at the pub, or any of life’s small luxuries to save a life and help to purchase the land these animals require to survive. The Murry Foundation incorporating The Bill Jordan Foundation also has developed orphanage schools, providing hope and salvation, while a specially devised curriculum teaches future generations how to live in harmony with their natural world.
